Japanese Food is awesome, and the overall dining experience is just as fun. If you are looking for places to eat in Tokyo, here are five great Japanese food experiences that I love while living in Tokyo. 1. Japanese Grill (Robata) - You sit around a few men who cook all of the meat and vegetables right in front of you on a grill. You just point to what you want and they grab it with their giant wooden spatulas. 2. Ramen - My favorite Japanese food, and perhaps the most well recognized Japanese dish apart from sushi. There are hundreds of places to choose from in Tokyo, each with their own rendition of the classic. One spot where you can get a large variety of options is on "Ramen Street" in the lower level of Tokyo Station. 3. Yakitori - Meat and veggies on sticks, cooked over a similar grill as the Robata, Yakitori is a favorite among Tokyo residents because it's fast and goes great with beer. The most famous area for Yakitori in Tokyo is down "Memory Lane" or "Piss Alley" just outside the Shinjuku Train Station. 4. Chanko Nabe - The ultimate in gluttony for a normal civilian, but a necessary bulking strategy for up-and-coming sumo wresters in the Ryogoku neighborhood of Tokyo. There are many different versions of this massive stew, and they are all aggressive and delicious. 5. Conveyor Belt Sushi - As I mention in the video, there are a million different ways sushi is served in Tokyo. One of the most fun methods is by way of the conveyor belt sushi. *Bonus* - Convenient stores such as FamilyMart, Lawson's, and 7 Eleven are a major part of Japanese Food culture in Tokyo. People are busy and need a quick meal, so I wanted to take you around real quick and show you what's inside! --- SUBSCRIBE ► http://bit.ly/TravelDeeper --- FOLLOW ME: + INSTAGRAM ►https://www.instagram.com/tourist2townie + FACEBOOK ► https://www.facebook.com/tourist2townie + TWITTER ► https://twitter.com/tourist2townie + SNAPCHAT ►@GarethChat + WEB ► http://www.tourist2townie.com --- MY TRAVEL VLOGGING GEAR: - MacBook Pro 15” → http://amzn.to/2g9K6j3 - LaCie Rugged External Hard Drive → http://amzn.to/2fkojHR - Sony a7ii → http://amzn.to/2gCeBDj - Sony a7ii 24-70 Lens → http://amzn.to/2fhWexs - DJI Phantom 4 Drone → http://amzn.to/2g9ALI4 - GoPro Hero 4 → http://amzn.to/2gvfJYI - KNEKT Underwater Dome → http://amzn.to/2gez11u - Rode Shotgun Mic → http://amzn.to/2gvg5yg - Manfrotto 60” Compact Action Tripod → http://amzn.to/2gducpn - Joby Tripod → http://amzn.to/2gdo6FA - Zoom H2n Handy Recorder → http://amzn.to/2gdmKuE - Backup Batteries for Sony A7ii → http://amzn.to/2fhYchl - Backup Batteries for Sony RX100iv → http://amzn.to/2gvbqfO --- P.S. Amazing and unreal restaurants all over the world and here are a few like the Floating restaurant and the smallest restaurant ever! Subscribe for weekly wacky videos and learn interesting facts about the world with awesome top 10 lists and other amazing videos. 8- World's Smallest Restaurant –The restaurant is called “Just for Two,” and is pretty self-explanatory. It has only one table with room for, you guessed it! Two. If you’re lucky enough to be half of the duo dining at this restaurant then you are in for a treat. You will be feasting on a magnificent Italian meal, waited on hand and foot. Your privacy is important to the staff and the wait staff will only come if summoned by a bell. The restaurant staff aims to please and will even arrange private fireworks and chauffeur service upon request. You will pay for this kind of service though – this experience starts at around $325 per person. 7- MuvBox Shipping Container Restaurant– Daniel Noiseux is the owner of the Muvbox – a restaurant located in Montreal, Canada. At first glance it looks like a plain rectangle, but once the rectangle is unfolded it turns into a beautiful restaurant with outdoor seating and a canopy. Noiseux fitted a kitchen and seating for 28 diners into 28 standard shipping containers with a floor made from recycled tires. The fact that it’s portable means it can be picked up and taken anywhere – an outdoor festival, a new venue, a convention. But what’s really cool is with a push of a button, the restaurant goes from closed up tight to deployed in under 2 minutes. It specializes in local, fresh food – including lobster and duck. 6- Mineshaft Restaurant – Located inside a 115 year old mine shaft at a depth of 1246 feet underground, the idea of the “pop-down” restaurant seemed like the perfect unique dining experience to chef Timo Linnamaki. He says that preparing the food so far below ground was all about being closer to the earth, but it’s definitely the weirdest place he’s ever cooked. Being so far below ground, the outside world disappears and the focus is entirely on the food. The 64 seat restaurant has been fully booked since its inception. 5- Cardboard Restaurant – So, you may have heard of someone living in a cardboard box, but how about dining in one? In Taichung Taiwan, there’s a restaurant called Carton King Restaurant where everything from the seats, to the tables, to the plates, to the cups are all made of cardboard. The whole idea behind an establishment like this is being able to recycle almost everything within it. The point is to remind people that cardboard and paper can be utilized for so many things. The food is said to be subpar and pretty expensive, but you’re paying for the experience – which is a pretty cool one! 4- Bank Vault Restaurant – The old Denver National Bank building is now the Broker Restaurant and the setting for a pretty awesome dining experience. The cherry wood booths where diners can enjoy their meal are the same booths that were once used by bank customers to view their safety deposit boxes years ago. Private rooms include the library, the study, the board room and a main dining area. The wine cellar is even located 35 feet below ground in the original cash vault. 3- Floating Restaurant – The Salt & Sill restaurant is located on a 23 room barge and is a top-rated seafood restaurant specializing in herring and fresh produce. Each of the 23 rooms has outdoor seating areas, and the nicest suite on the barge even has a private roof-top jacuzzi. The reason this barge was made into a bizarre spot for a restaurant- the adjacent land didn’t have room. 2- Airplane Restaurant – When you think of fine dining you may not immediately think of airplane food, but this restaurant, set inside a Douglas DC6 aircraft doesn’t serve your typical airplane food on plastic trays. With a menu consisting of an 8 oz Raptide, Vampire gammon steak, Bomber T-bone steak and Meteor marinade fillet, this 40 seater restaurant is about as unique as you can get. Located at Coventry Airport in the UK, diners can have the opportunity to view the aircrafts original cockpit and summon waiters using the original call buttons, just like you would use to call a stewardess. 1- Monkey Restaurant – Just your average Japanese sake-house style restaurant – or is it? The Kayabukiya Tavern is located just north of Tokyo, Japan and has attracted international attention for its bizarre main attractions. The owner is Kaoro Otsuka and he happens to own two macaque monkeys – who he employed to work at the restaurant. The first monkey is named Yat-Chan and, dressed it a shirt and shorts – takes customers drink orders and drops them at the bar. The second, younger monkey is named Fuku-chan and has the task of bringing hot towels to the diners to clean up before dinner. For their hard work, the monkeys receive boiled beans from customers as tips.

You may have a small storefront in which you want to open a food establishment. Designing the space can be a challenge. By working with the space -- utilizing the positive aspects -- as opposed to working against it, you can create a small restaurant and pub that accommodates guests comfortably without leaving them feeling cramped.
