The Curse of Poverty - 4/15/16

Love A Child is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Christian Humanitarian Organization, serving the needs of children in Haiti. Founders Bobby and Sherry Burnette live in Haiti at the Love A Child Orphanage. They are working to spread the word of God and show the love of Jesus by example; ministering to the poorest of the poor in Haiti. This week Bobby and Sherry return to the town of Sapaterre, a center of production for mud cookies in Haiti, to deliver food and host a crusade. Viewers are brought into the lives of Dodo and Betchina, two children whose lives are lived in direct influence of the mud cookies that their families help produce. How can you help the starving children of Haiti today? What is God putting in your heart to do today? Eight dollars sponsors a box of food that will feed an entire family for a month. For the price of dinner out with your family, you can feed three families for a month. A gift of $1000 can provide meals for an entire village. Your gift is urgently needed and can save the lives of the starving children in Haiti. Please call toll-free (1-800-645-4868) or visit our website (www.loveachild.org) to help. The starving children of Haiti need you. Please help. God bless you.

South African Congregation Eat Grass To Show Their Devotion

South African Congregation Eat Grass To Show Their Devotion SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/Oc61Hj EATING grass may seem like an unorthodox way to demonstrate your religious devotion. But for members of Rabboni Centre Ministries in Garankuwa, South Africa, grazing on greenery is a key part of their spiritual practice. Pastor Lesego Daniel, who runs the ministry, believes that it brings worshippers 'closer to God' - with some members of the congregation even claiming it has cured them of serious health defects. 92-Year-Old Indian Woman Eats 4 Plates of Sand Each Day

Sudama Devi first ate sand at the age of 10 and liked the taste of it — so she's been eating it for the past 80 years

Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and when journalists report about hunger there, they sometimes make reference to people eating cakes made out of mud. Known locally as "galette" these cakes are made out of a special kind of mud that's rich with minerals. People don't usually eat them out of desperation, but as a kind of traditional medicine.
